Center for Safety & Change has specially designated coordinators to the African American, Haitian, Jewish/Orthodox, Latina, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) and South Asian Communities who serve as liaisons between the Center and the communities they represent. Coordinators train Center staff and volunteers and conduct outreach in their communities to ensure that all the Center’s services are culturally competent and that each community has a voice at the table.
Additionally, our Outreach Team represents the Center at a variety of community-based events throughout Rockland County, ensuring broad access to care and a greater understanding of the programs and services offered.
