We Meet Each Child and Youth Where They Are in Their Experience
Center for Safety & Change provides services to children and youth living in Rockland County who are impacted by domestic violence, sexual trauma, child abuse, human trafficking and other crimes. Services are client-centered, and we believe children and youth are their own experts in what they need to rebuild their sense of safety. We take direction from them as to what they believe will support their healing process.
We incorporate creative arts in our activities, with a goal to create a safe distance so as not to re-traumatize the child and provide a space that is safe and nurturing.
